Objectified is a documentary film by Gary Hustwit. The trailer — embedded below — looks compelling. Then again, I’m a sucker for any discussion of industrial design and architecture.
Hustwit was previously responsible for the documentary Helvetica.
Update 2009-01-07: I watched Helvetica via Netflix last night. Hustwit did a great job getting opposing viewpoints on the typeface from various big name designers. (Sure, some of them sound like idiots, but that’s to be expected from most people during any given interview — and from me all the time.)
Update 2009-01-08: I meant to point out that the music used in both of these trailers (and throughout Helvetica) is by El Ten Eleven. Excellent music and somewhat similar in feeling to the work of Ulrich Schnauss.
