Mmm. I do not have a reference idea of the hair, but it looks alright; why ruin a perfectly good sketch? Also, I am in deep envy of the architecture, view, and giant chest of mystery. I do not have a mystery chest. I have a flimsy cardboard box that is likely to be sacrificed soon to serve as a skeleton to a paper mâché giraffe. (I’m starting to think it’s no longer a good idea for me to post comments so early in the mornings, but I haven’t been sleeping well and always seem to wind up here. Anyways, how are you?)
@Kate – I confess to having neither the curious architecture or the mystery chest — except, perhaps, metaphorically. The last few weeks have been really difficult to bear.
(Sorry that you aren’t sleeping well — your comments are always welcome, though the site may try to mangle them. Incidentally, I wonder if having a house full of cardboard boxes equates to being a mogul of potential giraffe skeletons? It’s the next bubble.)
@Samosaur – Thanks! I was worried it was too… sketchy? These images are likely to become progressively more difficult to decipher, given that I’m reacting to events through the artwork. Strange symbolism ahead.
@Sam – True, true. The strange symbolism is in full effect now.
@Kate – (Thanks. I think it will all be okay. (I hope…))
(Hmm. Is there a newsletter — or website? — for the aspiring cardboard giraffe skeleton entrepreneur? I just have so much raw material stockpiled here. It would be great to see it turn a tidy profit! Do they make good bookends?)
(Mmm.. “the google” doesn’t seem to turn up any prosperous results, but the book ends might be worth the try. You would have to weight them however, otherwise it’s just an epic, giraffe-squishing, Rube Goldberg machine.)

Odd… result to posting that. Paper mache, sorry. (But I starting to wonder what the former would look like).
WHOOOA. I… WHOA.
I so want to know what that stuff is!!
Nice sketch though!

Haha no, it looks fine as is. I like the feel of it.
Well, that’s the beauty of art, no? For both the artist and the viewer. You can get things down, and the viewer can get a mixture of things out of it.
I await this strange symbolism!
I’m sorry to hear that you’ve been having a hard time, is there anything I can do?
(Is being a mogul of potential giraffe skeletons a profitable business venture? I thought I would have heard something sooner through the grape vine…)

I hope so too.

@Kate – Thanks.
(Yes, it would be sad to see the giraffe skeletons squished. Maybe the internal structure could be designed to resist the force of the books? Hmm.)
