I am in awe of the lighting in this photo, and the graceful design of the fountain.
Will you take a picture of it one day when the water is going through it? Would love to see it in action.
What are the “pools” made out of? They look a little like graduated reel-to-reel film canisters?
Thank you. I’ve taken a lot of photographs of this fountain… but none of them ever turned out this nicely. I’ll try to get a shot of it running sometime soon. The design is based on a fountain designed by Richard Bach for Frank Lloyd Wright — the water is intended to cause the pans to resonate as it falls.
The entire fountain is made out of welded sections of steel. It’s a pretty neat design. I’ll see if I can post some more detail photographs soon.
