    What neat timing with the owl – heard one this morning when we woke up. Chris even spotted him sitting in one of the big trees an hour later as we were both walking out to the cars to drive to work. He watched us for a couple of minutes and then took off across the yard. Flight-wise, definitely strong and silent – he was huge and yet somehow those wings made him look graceful.
