A Chinese Mantis (Tenodera aridifolia sinensis) pauses to observe my landscaping work. Perhaps it was also trying to determine the edibility of my camera.

Jon, I dreamed last night that I ordered all these mantis eggs by accident and they came in a pack and a strap to wear around your body to keep them warm until they hatched. It came with instructions on how to be a human incubator for them. I didn’t wear it but also didn’t know what to do with them and one day they began to hatch. I was really creeped out.
